However, overcapacity has emerged as an eminent problem in Chinese yellow phosphorus industry in recent years. For example, China’s yellow phosphorus capacity is about 2,335,000t/a in 2012, almost three times higher than the domestic demand, which is only about 800,000-900,000 tonnes every year.
